Attunement

I listen carefully to your needs and together we negotiate what pace is comfortable for you to be with the hard things. But first, we build resources together so that your capacity to face life's challenges expands. We work on growing resilience and bringing vitality to your life so that you are not only surviving, but you are thriving. 

Experiential 

We won't just sit face to face on the couch. We might get up and move around. You might try different spots to sit to experience a shift in perspective. We might be playful and utilize different props to explore boundaries or to feel different sensations in your nervous system. We may explore objects or colors. What does it feel like to fully experience the moment? What does your body need to get unstuck? You are given options to consider, and you decide how to act. 

Regulating

Regulating your emotions doesn't mean being calm all the time. Being regulated means you are able to ride the waves of life, navigating challenges in a way that feels right for you (but that doesn't mean it is always easy).  Sometimes having a safe person to talk to and a safe space to be in community helps regulate. We will also discover inner resources that help you regulate so that you see improvments in your mood, sleep, and productivity.
